A REAL AUTHENTIC HOLIDAY COTTAGE IN HUNGARY Only 25 km from Pécs in the south of Hungary. The house is situated on the outskirts of the Mecsek, nearby the lakes of Orfű. WE OFFER a 4 to 5 PERSONS HOLIDAY HOME (bed and breakfast facilities possible) Our cottage is pleasant and cozy with characteristic farmhouse furnishing. The garden around the cottage is 1.600 m2, a big terrace included. Maximum privacy guaranteed. It is also a safe place where children can play freely. The garden offers plenty of shaded and sunny spots. In southern Hungary, in the midst’s of the Mecsek Mountains, lies the lake of Kovácsszénája surrounded on all sides with beautiful nature parks. In this very attractive tourist area lies the village Kovácsszénája. The area is very suitable for rest seekers and those who love to walk. In the immediate surroundings, there are four lakes. The nearest lake – a fish lake – only 150 m walking distance. Here you can fish on carp and sheat. Roundabout 3 km’s away you will find the biggest of the four lakes. This lake you can reach by way of a beautiful and easy stroll through the forest (ca. 30 minutes). A nice trip with your 4-wheel drive through the hills, by car using the road or with the bicycle. In this lake you can swim, surf, row, canoe and water cycle. In the area, you will find lots of wild life (deer, wild boar, pheasant, partridge, fox and a big variety of birds of prey). All this wild life may be hunted, but it is so much more fun to catch them on camera or just simple observe them with binoculars. Everywhere in the surrounding area, you will find little hunting towers (we call them "shooting chairs") and if there are no hunters around, you can use them to watch or spy on the wild life. Pécs – which is about 25 km away – has much to offer in modern facilities and amusements. Besides dozens of cafés and restaurants, you will find shops like Tesco, Interspar, Intersport, MediaMarkt, Electro world etc.
